Ali Kazma // Book

Ali Kazma aime les livres. Ils sont pour lui objets de chair et d’os, citations de l’humanité, essentiels. Dans le fil de cette passion, les Editions Take 5, en 2011, ont initié avec l’artiste un projet qui aura conduit à plus de 7000 photographies de livres, de manuscrits anciens et récents, de bibliothèques, des acteurs et des instruments de tous les métiers liés à la fabrication des livres. Un projet qui se poursuit, et qui est aussi, d’une certaine manière, un projet de vie. Dans la foulée de la publication de Recto-Verso, livre d’artiste publié par Take 5, Ali Kazma présente cet automne 2013, sous l’égide de Régis Durand, commissaire particulièrement attentif au travail de l’artiste, deux expositions de ses photographies, à Istanbul, à la galerie Nev et à Paris, à la galerie Magda Danysz, en collaboration avec Analix Forever.

Ali Kazma loves books. In his opinion, they are objects of flesh and blood, they are quotes of humanity, essentials. According to this passion, Editions Take 5, initiated in 2011, a project with the artist that leads to more than 7,000 photographs of books, old and new manuscripts, libraries, actors and tools of all the jobs related to the production of books. An ongoing project, which is also, in a way, a life project. Immediately after the publication of Recto-Verso, an artist's book published by Take 5, Ali Kazma presents this autumn 2013, under the authority of Régis Durand, curator particularly attentive to the work of the artist, two exhibitions of his photographs in Istanbul, at the Nev gallery and in Paris, at the Magda Danysz Gallery in collaboration with Analix Forever.
